"I'm too afraid to try copper peptide"

Posted by: Nanci Nivolo

Oh yes, I get emails from people who have bought Copper Peptide or are looking for an age reversal product but are too afraid to try it.  And it's really a shame.......  Copper Peptide is one of the main reasons my skin doesn't look anywhere near its age.   So what's going on?  Well, there really are people who can't use it - just like any other product.  In 99% of cases though, they're using too much, too soon.   Less is more when it comes to Copper Peptide.   What CP does is work from the inside out, pushing damaged skin to the surface and replacing it with nice, smooth, clear, firm and lifted skin with less wrinkles.   Use too much too soon and you it's possible that you can get what is referred to on different forums as "the uglies".   "The uglies" is your skin suddenly sagging - which is only temporary by the way.  But who wants that - even on a temporary basis (about 2 weeks!).     Dr. Pickart's peptides both build and remove the older damaged collagen which is why using too much can give you "the uglies".   This results from removing too much collagen before the skin has a chance to rebuild and replace it.   So here are my tips for using Copper Peptide and avoiding 'the uglies" completely:

Start with the Super GHK Serum (for normal/oily skin types) or Super GHK Cream (for normal/dry skin types) using it only once a day at night and use only enough to just cover your skin.  Super GHK can be used around your eye area too.  Super GHK is the first generation of Copper Peptide that Dr. Pickart invented and it's the weakest form.  I personally do not know of anyone who has experienced 'the uglies' from the Super GHK Serum or Cream.

If you want to start with the second generation, you would start with the CP Serum.  That's what I have in my Basic Essentials Starter Kit and it's what I started using back in the day.....  The second generation of Copper Peptides is stronger than Super GHK and much more reasonably priced - 4 oz. of CP Serum is $40.95, a 1/2 oz. bottle of Super GHK is #39.95........and Dr. Pickart has told me that his second generation of CP is better in his opinion.  I agree........

Anyhoo, here is a very good way to use CP Serum if you're new to it and are afraid of it - dilute it with water.  Here's the formula:

Weeks 1 and 2:  Dilute 50/50

Weeks 3 and 4:  Dilute 60/40 (60 being the Copper Peptide)

Weeks 5 and 6:  Dilute 70/30

Weeks 7 and 8:  Dilute 80/20

Weeks 9 and 10: Dilute 90/10

Week 11 and beyond, use full strength.

I use my CP (I'm using Skin Signals) around my eye area as many people do. Then I spot treat wrinkle prone areas with the stronger Super Cop or Super CopX2.   I can use Super Cop/Super Copx2 under my eye area but not on my eyelids.  However, if you're new to CP, I would avoid the eye area as it's too strong of an age reversal product for the delicate eye area skin for the majority.  20% Matrixyl 3000 works wonders for the eye area - including lines, dark circles and it's also firming.

I hope this helps you in your decision whether or not to try Copper Peptide or use the one you bought.  Dr. Pickart isn't called the "Turn Back The Clock Doc" for nothing!
