THE CUBIC 5 TAKES 20 MINUTES TO USE!
Even so, we admit it will not be in everyone’s price range. But if you can find anything better, at any price, please tell me, because we tried and couldn’t. Not even at many, many thousands more!
So what is The DermaWave Cubic 5 system all about? This is a system that is compact, at only 5 inches square and 1.5 inches high, it’s portable enough to take anywhere. It’s also a whole console – it accepts other heads available in The DermaWave system such as the Cubic 7 (see below) and adjusts to them, automatically. You may wonder how The Cubic 5 compares with another well known professional LED device – check out the chart.
So, yes - even as a stand-alone, single head system, you can see how the Cubic 5 completely and easily overtakes a Quasar SP. And don’t you want to be able to buy an additional colored head without having to invest in another system? The Cubic 5 allows you to do that. Not so the Quasar. Expanding to different colored heads with the Quasar is like buying an entirely new camera each time you simply want to change lenses - or filters, for that matter. That gets very expensive, too expensive. With the Cubic 5, it’s only $500 more, not $849 - $1150 more. Want to cut your treatment time in half with two standard heads? I could also go on about the weaknesses of the technology used in the Quasar SP Pro and the misconception about joules and LEDs and a whole range of other topics, but I can’t do a better job of that than The DermaWave site. So for the curious, check out the sites below. All to say that no matter how fast it seemingly 'flashes' to the eye, as a 'mostly-on' illusion, the Quasar unit lights only 6 active LEDs at any given time - in either of its two pulse modes. The DermaWave pumps 30 of them, at a pop. Some may be happy with 6, but if 30 are available, I want 30. Don’t you?
In fact, not just by using higher output LEDs, but by the very way the Cubic 5 handles them results in light output efficiency over 16 fold, relative to the Quasar. One of the BEST features of the DermaWave system is that it is modular - not found in any other system on the market. Meaning? The outputs, those ‘plug in ports’ are really 'Smart Ports'. You may notice that no infra-red lights are found in the Cubic series LEDs. Puzzled about that? We were too. They seem to be included in nearly all general purpose, multi light/polychromatic LED units on the market, don’t they? We just had to explore this subject further and lo’ and behold, we found the answer clearly explained in the material on the main DermaWave site. In fact, what we learned about infra-red lights shook us up a bit. Not only does their placement alongside other colored LED lights significantly interfere with the others’ effectiveness, infra-red shouldn’t be used, at all, for skin rejuvenation! Their true purpose is for joint and pain issues. This might also explain why many have found LED systems using infra-red haven’t lived up to their marketing promises. So, unless you actually want to pay for a LED system designed to reduce pain while expecting it to perform solely as a photo rejuvenation device, best to avoid altogether any unit that incorporates infra-red lights. As for those LED systems that have multiple colored lights arrayed together, well......they produce no color at all!
