Question: Nanci, you say to stop using acids on a daily basis because they can age you – yet you yourself use Super CopX2 every day and it has beta hydroxy acids in it!

I've recently added Dr. Pickart's Protect & Restore Day Cover to the site. I did this for a couple of reasons. First of all, I really like it! Secondly, I added it for clients who prefer to use their Copper Peptide during the day. In a prior blog entry, I mentioned that Copper Peptide really should not be used at the same time as a zinc oxide product, as it CAN enlarge pores when used together. Now, I've been using a zinc oxide sunscreen with my CP for years without any issues at all. But for some, it's not a good idea and that's why I recommend using your CP at night if you use anything that has zinc oxide in it.

Cara came to the house a couple of weeks ago and was standing in the doorway, the sun shining in on her face with no makeup on - and wow! Her skin is like peaches and cream..... now, I see her here at work every day, but this time it was in a different light. Cara is not one to fuss over her skin - she has a simple routine and is only using topicals and no rejuvenating tools. She did use the Dermawave for the first couple of months that she was here (I made her LOL) but in spite of her treatments being under 5 minutes, she's just not into "gadgets". Her skin looks so great that I wanted to post her routine. This is what Cara is using:

Cara is very happy with her skin and I can see why. I would love to put her before/after pictures on the website but she won't let me. Too bad because there is quite a difference in her skin since she started here 6 months ago. 6 months ago, her skin was dry, had red patches, hyperpigmentation and was much less firm than it is now and with more wrinkles. She wasn't happy with her neck either - crepey, chicken skin (her words) with wrinkles. That's all gone now! Dana is so impressed, she's jumped on the band wagon.

Oh yes, I get emails from people who have bought Copper Peptide or are looking for an age reversal product but are too afraid to try it. And it's really a shame....... Copper Peptide is one of the main reasons my skin doesn't look anywhere near its age. So what's going on? Well, there really are people who can't use it - just like any other product. In 99% of cases though, they're using too much, too soon. Less is more when it comes to Copper Peptide. What CP does is work from the inside out, pushing damaged skin to the surface and replacing it with nice, smooth, clear, firm and lifted skin with less wrinkles. Use too much too soon and you it's possible that you can get what is referred to on different forums as "the uglies". "The uglies" is your skin suddenly sagging - which is only temporary by the way. But who wants that - even on a temporary basis (about 2 weeks!). Dr. Pickart's peptides both build and remove the older damaged collagen which is why using too much can give you "the uglies". This results from removing too much collagen before the skin has a chance to rebuild and replace it. So here are my tips for using Copper Peptide and avoiding 'the uglies" completely:
